These skills are supported by free worksheets, fun e-books and interactive materials (coloring books / party games) to help commit them to memory.

I’m passionate about improving the future through strengthening inner stability in people first. I have a life long interest in philanthropy that began as a child cooking Thanksgiving dinners for the homeless, sending clothes to underprivileged kids in South America, and shipping donated books to foreign libraries in need. Today, my experience includes; international business, distribution, and product development.

Ms. Scholz works with children, teens, adults, and families across New Jersey to provide services on anxiety, major depression, adjustments to major life changes and challenges, low self-esteem, addictions, and severe and persistent mental illnesses including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and certain personality disorders. She additionally specializes in the treatment of co-occurring disorders.

Additionally, Ms. Scholz serves as an adjunct professor at Mercy College in their Graduate School of Behavioral and Social Sciences, training and preparing masters-level students to become future counselors and social workers in their studies. Some of the most commonly taught courses by Ms. Scholz at the master’s level include Theories/Techniques of Counseling and psychotherapy, Group Counseling, and Psychopathology.

Hi! I'm Lindsay Scholz - LPC, NCC, CCATP, CAIMHP, CCTP, CGCS, C-DBT
Resident Counselor

Lindsay Scholz received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in from Monmouth University. She is licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey and also holds national certifications in her field, including Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and Nationally Board Certified Telemental Health Practitioner (BC-TMH). Ms. Scholz holds numerous certifications within her field and is a current doctoral candidate at the University of the Cumberlands, working toward the attainment of her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision with a specialization in leadership. She has extensive experience working with individuals (children, adolescents, and adults) with a wide array of mental health issues and diagnoses in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric facilities, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, in private practice (at the outpatient level of care), and via her service in various community outreach programs dating back to 2009.

Primary treatment modalities used by Ms. Scholz include Motivational Interviewing (MI) strategies in tandem with both Cognitive-Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (CBT, DBT) techniques. Ms. Scholz employs what is referred to as a “client-centered” (or person-centered) approach in her work with all clients.  In her work with children and families Ms. Scholz employs a Family Systems approach. She affirms that even the most fractured parent-child relationships can often be healed with adequate skilled guidance and parental commitment to mending existing relational ruptures with their child.

Ms. Velar is a trauma informed movement specialist, educator and practitioner of trauma informed yoga in clinical settings. She is particularly proud of her focused work on therapeutic movement for oncology at hospitals like the University of Miami’s Sylvester Center and more. Sari holds additional certifications in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, Gentle Therapeutics Yoga, Yoga for Addiction Recovery, Yoga for Cancer (Y4C), Yoga for Eating Disorders, and Trauma-Informed Yoga.

I’m a Licensed Psychologist and Director of Child & Family Psychologists where I specialize in the treatment of emotional and behavioral problems of children and adolescents. Licensed in 1983, I have extensive experience in dealing with Children of Divorce, Custody Evaluations, Step-family Adjustment Issues, Emotionally Handicapped and Learning Disabled Children, and Children with Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder. I am also a Certified and Court Appointed Family Mediator by the Supreme Court of Florida.


I’m known for having been the Pro-Bono Evaluating Psychologist for Elian Gonzales, a world famous International Immigration Case. I have been conducting Immigration Psychological Evaluations in the South Florida Area for decades. I also regularly teach seminars for insurance providers and their patients on topics like self defense, bullying and ADHD.

I am a Professor of Health and Human Development and a part of leading a survivor-based trauma recovery revolution. I utilize IFS therapy as a non-pathologizing approach to addressing trauma. The Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapeutic approach takes the idea that all of us have different parts to us. Almost like having these small voices inside.

These parts of us are different for everyone and express themselves in different ways. They can be thoughts, sensations, or feelings. I support others through events where they feel torn by being pulled in two different directions (“A part of me feels…but another part of me feels…”) and events where they get into an internal conflict and parts have taken extreme roles, or gotten stuck in the past.

This approach doesn’t pathologize people like most therapy does. Instead it offers a warm, safe environment designed to get clients to access their and heal their burdened parts. Clients report feeling less turmoil, physically better, and a sense of calmness when they can access.

Hi! I'm Dr. Boseck

I am a Board-Certified Pediatric Neuropsychologist, Brain Injury Specialist, and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. I’m also an adjunct professor of child development, abnormal psychology, and abnormal child psychology at North Dakota State University, and a consulting neuropsychologist through the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences Center for Rural Health.

My clinical work emphasizes assessment in the areas of neurodevelopmental, acquired, and psychiatric disorders including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, brain injury, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, learning disorders, and mood behavioral dysregulation disorders.

My charitable work includes my role as the executive director of the nonprofit organization, FASnD, which focuses on raising awareness of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders. I also joined the North Dakota Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Program in 2020 as a Project ECHO presenter on pediatric psychological disorders and treatments.
