Then we make learning fun by incorporating them into mini-games, memory challenges and of course, coloring!

Why Coloring?


Coloring has the ability to relax the fear center of your brain, the amygdala. It induces the same state as meditating by reducing the thoughts of a restless mind. A key landscape study entitled “Can Coloring Mandalas Reduce Anxiety” was conducted with 84 college students as participants. The students were split into three groups; one group was assigned to color mandalas, one group was assigned to color a plaid pattern, and the last group was assigned to just color on a blank piece of paper. The end results showed that the groups anxiety levels were significantly lower in the two groups who had structured coloring over the third assigned group of coloring freely. The findings of this study showed that coloring produced a meditative state that could benefit those suffering from anxiety.[1]
